Learning outcomes

Knowledge

  • Familiarizing the student with the main legal regulations in force as a reference for the field of communications and new technologies. The legal rights and obligations specific to the online environment and the main sources of these rights and obligations will be presented. Also, the legal issues frequently encountered in the field will be subject to debate, in order to identify viable solutions
  • students will access and deepen the national, European and international legislation applicable to the field of communications and new technologies; - students will gain a better understanding of the cultural elements of the virtual environment in relation to the dynamics of the modern world;
  • students will familiarize themselves with the specific terminology and basic concepts in the field of communications and new technologies;
  • students will critically analyze and debate the organization and functioning of the system for the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms in the online environment;
  • Definition and proper use of technical terms
  • Knowledge of the bibliography related to the course
  • The ability to formulate arguments and get involved in debates regarding the European, national and international regulations on free access to information of public interest, protection of classified information, protection of personal data, limits and the circumscribed protection of a person's right to private life, etc.

  • The ability to analyze the characteristics of national, European and international legal provisions in the field of communications and new technologies
  • The ability to reflect critically on public policy proposals in the field of communications and new technologies, as well as on the consequences of their implementation
  • The ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate national jurisprudence and that of the European Court of Human Rights in the field

  • The concepts studied will complement the knowledge offered by the other law courses.
